FAQs

We often get asked lots of questions and we've tried to cover as many as possible here. Contract us for anything else that's not covered.

How do I become a member?

Becoming a member is simple. Give us a call or use the contact form below to arrange a meeting with the owner at The Aviator Bistro on Fishburn airfield.

How many members are they?

We want to ensure that our pilots have regular access to fly our Sirius TL-3000 and therefore are only allowing up to 8 members. We'd expect that each member is flying at least 2 hours per month.

How does fuelling work?

Our aircraft should always have 60 litres of UL91 fuel onboard to enable you to go flying upon your arrival. We ask that you top the plane back up when you've finished your flight using the fuel we provide. Training will be provided on how to refuel.

Can students use the aircraft?

Our aircraft are not available to students learning to fly. Once you obtain your pilots licence you're more than welcome to become a member.

Do I need to undertake training before flying solo?

Prior to flying solo in our aircraft, pilots are required to undertake conversion training with our own flying instructor. The number of training hours needed depends on the pilots ability. Conversion training is charged at £150 per hour which includes the instructor fee of £100 and a discounted hourly hire fee of £50. For NPPL licence holders where experience has only been on sub 475 Kg aircraft, you will receive an upgraded 600kg endorsement as part of this training.
